A non-profit organization which promotes and supports the performance of orchestral music for south central Kansas audiences.
Newton Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra (NMKSO)
A high quality community orchestra whose purpose is to perform, advocate and support the performance of a variety of symphonic music.
Musicians
Musicians from the Newton/Harvey county and surrounding area include professionals, music educators, community players, and advanced high school and college students.  Concertmaster Adrienne Dougherty and several principals are members of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra.	
Conductors
Guest Conductors: Dr. Allen Carl Larson and Dr. Mark Laycock lead the Classics this season 
Diego Sánchez Haase, of Paraguay, immediate past conductor, led the orchestra from 2005-2009
Daniel Hege, NMKSO music director from 1993-2004, currently with the Syracuse (NY) Symphony Orchestra
